My month review of my Vrijheid Fonds.
The month August was a great month for me personally. I spend some quality time with my family. We had 3 incredible weeks of holiday. And that’s why I didn’t post very often. Heck, we didn’t even have Wi-Fi all the time. And you know what: I survived .
Okay lets see how much passive income I have received in August. The month is over and it is time to update myVrijheid Fondsonce again. And of course to write a post about my favorite topic, dividends! I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can. The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.
The markets were reasonable flat, so no surprise here. I had just one dividend increase. BHP Billiton PLC – ADR raised its dividend with 14.55%.
Dividend
Lets take a look at the numbers and tell you the status of my Vrijheid Fondsand report my passive income for this month. In total I received whooping €244.27 ($283.87) in passive income.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
AT&T (T) €36.57
Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI) €69.51
Procter & Gamble (PG) €19.93
Realty Income (O) €19.31
Mutual Fund €98.95
YoY Increase
Till last year I received a quarterly dividend from my mutual fund. However, since the beginning of this year NN Euro Obligatie Fondsis paying a yearly dividend. For more information read my post I wrote earlier about this change of payment. If I want to compare my dividend income from this year August with last years August, I’ll have to take this dividend from the equation.
That makes a total of €244.27, this is a 13.1% increase from last years August. This year I received a total of €244.27 dividend vs. €233.91 dividend last years August. This is an increase of 5.29%. If I remove the dividend of the mutual fund, my Vrijheid Fondshad a 30.46% increase in passive income. It feels great when money is coming in that has worked for me!
My Dividend Factory is working for me!
For an update of my Dividend Income click the hyperlink. In 2018 I received a total in passive income of € 2216.06
Vrijheid Fonds
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see that the value is slightly higher than last month. My total portfolio value at the end of August is €102,220 whichis an increase of 1.07% over last month (€101,135).
I again donated €400 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fondsand €121 in mutual-funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well”part of my Vrijheid Fonds
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Pollie
Note:
Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. And because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
