A dividend increase by the mining company BBL of my Vrijheid Fonds.
On August 21, BBL announced a 14,55% increase in its semi-annual dividend. The dividend is raised from $1.10 to $1.26. The dividend pay date is September 25, 2018 to shareholders of record on September 7, 2018 (ex dividend September 6, 2018).
The Board of BHP Billiton has determined to pay an interim dividend of 63 US cents per share. Because BBL-ADR consists of two shares of BHP, the dividend for BBL will be 126 cents.
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.52 per share, up from $2.20. The dividend yield on current price is 4.41%.
My Vrijheid Fondsconsist of 30 shares of BBL, so my annual dividends will increase by €8.21 ($9.60) after taxes.
My projected annual total amount from my shares of BBL will be €65 after taxes.
Again a very nice increase from BHP Billiton, I love these kinds of increases! BBL is almost back at the dividend levels of 2015!
However, with the current payout ratio of 69%, I see not much room for growth.
Cheers,
Pollie
