Month review of my Vrijheid Fonds – February 2018
It is time to tell you how my month of February was. And I’m happy, because this is a blog post about my favorite topic, dividends! I hope this post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can. The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.
Dividend
In total I received €153,72 ($187.42) in passive income in February. My Vrijheid Fonds had three-dividend increase! Realty Income raised its dividend with 3.1%, Omega Healthcare Investments with 1.50% and AT&T with 2.00%. In total my Vrijheid Fonds has had already 5 dividend raises this year.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
- AT&T (T) €34.86
- Omega Healthcare Investments (OHI) €66.26
- Procter & Gamble (PG) €18.25
- Realty Income (O) € 18.32
- Mutual Fund: Kempen European High Dividend – X €16.04
That makes a total of €153.72. This is an increase of more than 16% from last years February. This increase was mainly due to the new buys I made last year. And if you take the weaker Dollar into account (-13% in comparison with last years February), than I’m proud of this result.
This is great! DGI at work!

In 2018 I received a total in passive income of €203.85
Vrijheid Fonds
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), we can see that the value is lower than last month. Finally volatility is back in the markets. So some nice opportunities will occur. But you need to seize these opportunities ;-( .
My total portfolio value at the end of February is $86,763, which is a decrease of 3.78% over last month (€90.167). I donated € 800 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fonds and I bought € 134 worth of mutual Funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well” part of my Vrijheid Fonds.
Furthermore I bought 12 shares of Bayer.
Read my Analysis on Bayer AG for some more information about Bayer.
And read my New buy – Bayer AG post about the latest addition to my Vrijheid Fonds.
Again this month I made a nice step in my journey.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Pollie
Note:
Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. Because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
