My month review of December 2019 of my Vrijheid Fonds
First of all, I hope everyone has enjoyed the most beautiful holiday season filled with quality time with the loved ones!
Another year has passed us by. And the older I get, the more I think that everything goes by quickly. 2019 has been an exciting year for me, with many ups and downs. I started a new job back in March, and this new job took more time than I thought. So, it was once again a struggle to balance my time between family, work, fun and Polliesdividend.com.
But before I do a year review it is time to report my dividend income again. Spreadsheet day is behind us and I can now start writing my favorite post, my dividend income! I hope this review post inspires other people out there to start saving and investing as soon as they can. The power you feel knowing that you are richer than you were yesterday, and you didn’t have to work a minute for it, is a wonderful feeling.
Dividend
In total I received € 635.44 ($ 713.34) in passive income in December. My Vrijheid Fonds had two dividend increases. McDonalds raised its dividend with almost 8% and Microsoft with 10.9% I really love this kind of increases.
If we take a closer look, the dividend was coming from:
- Royal Dutch Shell A (RDS) € 142.52 (Dripped 5 new shares)
- Unilever (UN) € 87.91 (Dripped 1 new share)
- 3M (MMM) € 40.34
- AFLAC (AFL) € 9.82
- Archer-Daniel-Midlands (ADM) € 10.87
- Chevron (CVX) € 32.43
- Coca Cola (KO) € 24.23
- Consolidated Edison (ED) € 13.45
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) € 32.37
- McDonalds (MCD) € 19.87
- Microsoft (MSFT) € 12.36
- Realty Income (O) € 20.62
- Southern Company (SO) € 23.47
- Target (TGT) € 34.98
- Mutual Funds € 107.85
- Rabobank Certificate € 22.34
YoY increase
That makes a total of € 635.44. This is an increase of 36.6% from last year’s December. However, my mutual funds normally pay their dividend in November. So, If I take the dividend of the mutual funds out of the equation, my Vrijheid Fonds had an increase of 13.39%. I’m proud of my results! My snowball is still gaining momentum. This feels really nice.

In 2019 I received a total in passive income of € 4,267.17
Vrijheid Fonds
If we take a look at my Vrijheid Fonds (Freedom Fund), you can see that due to my installed drip in RDS and UN the number of shares have risen.
My total portfolio value at the end of December is € 135,643, which is an increase of 0.21% over last month November (€ 135,363). This is a new All-time high for my Vrijheid Fonds! I’m sitting here with a big grin and I’m proud of my results in 2019.
I again donated € 615 of fresh capital to my Vrijheid Fonds and I bought € 383 worth of mutual Funds for my “Safe-haven-sleep-well”part of my Vrijheid Fonds.
This month I made one new buy for my Vrijheid Fonds.
New Buy
I’ve averaged down on NN group NV and bought22 new shares of XAMS:NN. For more information about this buy, just read my post Recent buy – NN Group NV – December 2019.
Again, this month I made a nice step in my journey.
In the coming days I will write my year-review, in which I will dive deeper into the performance of my Vrijheid Fonds.

Because all figures I give are in Euro’s. Because the exchange rates is not constant (duh…) my passive income changes per month (even if the dividend stays the same). For the record: I only post my passive income from dividend the month I received it on my brokers account. And it is after taxes.
