A new dividend increase by McDonalds (MCD)
Last week a new dividend increase of one of the stocks of my Vrijheid Fonds was published. On September 19th McDonalds (MCD) announced almost an 8% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from $1.16 to $1.25. The dividend pay date is December 16, 2019 to shareholders of record on December 2, 2019 (ex-dividend November 29, 2019).
McDonald’s President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Easterbrook said:
“Our broad based business strength across the globe is a testament to the Velocity Growth Plan. Today’s dividend increase reflects our confidence in the plan and our continued focus on driving long-term value for all stakeholders.“
This is the 43st consecutive annual dividend increase. McDonald’s has raised its dividend each and every year since paying its first dividend in 1976.
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $5.00 per share, up from $4.64. The dividend yield on current price is 2.38 %.
My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 21 shares of MCD, my annual dividends will increase by €5.84 ($6.42) after taxes. For 2019 my dividends will increase by € 1.46 ($ 1.61) after taxes.
My projected annual total amount from my shares of MCD will be €75 after taxes.
I love these kinds of increases!
