A dividend increase of AFLAC
On the last day of January AFLAC Incorporated (AFL) announced a 3.8% increase in its quarterly dividend. Aflac raised its dividend from $0.26 to $0.27. The dividend pay date is March 1, 2019 to shareholders of record on February 20, 2019 (ex dividend February 19, 2019). This is the 37th Consecutive Annual Increase.

CEO Daniel P. Amos stated:
“We are pleased with the company’s overall performance for the year… I am pleased with the Board’s decision to increase the dividend, coming off our 36th consecutive year of dividend increases and recognition of the stability of our earnings and capital generation. It also demonstrates our commitment to rewarding our shareholders.”

The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $1.08 per share, up from $1.04. The dividend yield on current price is 2.25%.

My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 48 shares of AFLAC, my annual dividends will increase by €1.08 ($1.22) after taxes.
My projected annual total amount (2019) from my shares of AFL will be €38.87 ($44.06) after taxes.
This is my 7th dividend increase already in 2019 for my Vrijheid Fonds!!!
