Dividend increase by AT&T (T)
Last week AT&T (T) announced a 2% increase in its quarterly dividend. The dividend is raised from $0.50 to $0.51. The dividend pay date is February 1, 2019 to shareholders of record on January 10, 2019 (ex dividend January 9, 2019). This is the 35thConsecutive Annual Increase.
Randall Stephenson, chairman and CEO: “Our healthy cash flows and strong outlook for 2019 give us the confidence to raise our dividend for the 35th consecutive year. The dividend is an important way we provide value to our shareholders, and I’m proud that we are able to continue our history of annual increases.”
Vrijheid Fonds
The new dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.04 per share, up from $2.00. The dividend yield on current price is 5.4 %.
My Vrijheid Fonds consist of 100 shares of T, my annual dividends will increase by €3.01. For 2018 my dividends will, of course, not be affected ;-).
My projected annual total amount from my shares of T will be €153 ($173) after taxes.
While AT&T’s dividend increase is small in size, I think it’s better than no increase!
Cheers,
Pollie
